Asta Barrington

Asta Barrington is an illustrator and surface pattern designer based in Bath, southwest England. Her hand-drawn artwork is rich in detailed textures and joyful color. She draws inspiration from various sources, particularly printed paper ephemera, vintage textiles, and treasures found at flea markets. In late 2018, she challenged herself to design an original alphabet using intricate graphic patterns as an extension of her Folk Flowers tray collection. She aimed for each letter to be visually striking, harmonious with others, and easily legible at any scale. The result is her vibrant Word collection for Jamida.
